The common questions has always been... Will I loose my ride quality?  How much does it lower the vehicle?  What kind of performance gain will I be expecting?  How long does it last?  These questions are studied and became the development focus of ADVOX Suspension Systems.

Tom's Advox Suspension System was designed by leading suspension designer Hiroyuki Teramoto whom actively worked in top Formula 1 team.  Tom's and Mr. Teramoto has developed a winning combination which ultimately led Tom's to dominate several championships such as JGTC (Japan Grand Touring Car Championship), All Japan Formula 3 (Open wheel formula cars), Macau Grand Prix (Premier Street Circuit Event) and complete victory in Korea Grand Prix (FIA Formula 3).

After three years of development, the ADVOX was finally ready for  the street.   Tom's has taken the knowledge from motor sport racing and the questions from the demanding street performance market, the team carefully studied dynamics of these questions.... they came up with a formula that balances these concerns.

Tom's Advox Suspension System was Borned!!

Depth of Tom's technology has broaden the world of Advox.  Countless people participate in each specifications.   Professional racers who test Advox behind the wheel, staffs who simulate Advox with damper tester, mechanics hand assemble each damper.  Advox keeps improving with feedbacks from several fields.  When the latest technology and a cost performance meets, a new spec would be added to Advox.  Tom's vision of 21st century is to complete a collection of Advox for every Toyota car.

ADVOX & ADVOX Sport Suspension Systems

Tom's offers two differnet types of Advox suspension system,  Advox and Advox Sport.  Advox was designed with more focus on ride comfort and Advox Sport was designed with more performance spirit in mind.  Advox (top picture) is made of Aircraft aluminum housing, mono tube designed to achieve lightest weight without compromise to strength.  Each components are carefully measured and hand assembled to each vehicles specification.  Advox Sports (lower picture) is designed to share the same internal design as Advox, but using steel casing to reduce cost.  The steel casing does increased the weight of the damper.  Therefore Tom's selected the lightest internal components to counter weight increase.  All Advox Suspension System uses the teflon sheet between the lower spring seat and spring to reduce friction and noise. Each Advox is hand assembled, each kit comes with top mounts and height setting is preset for the best height and handling ratio.  The kit is ready to be installed right out of the box.

Major Qualities of ADVOX Aluminum Mono Tube design is the same used in our racing parts, the ridged material improves strength, reduce weight and heat. Specially designed rubber chamber reduces friction compared to free piston chamber. (Excludes strut model) High preceision race quality components and materials are used in every hand assembled ADVOX. Each vehicle application is tuned specifically to match each Toyota / Lexus vehicle for unmatched performance. Developed on an exclusive suspension tester that simulates of a real car's suspension.  This data is then tested by professional racing drivers for feedback. Threaded body for vehicle ride height adjustment.  Teflon Sheet is placed between the spring and seat to reduce noise and friction during spring compression. Special valve orifice is used to control the damping at low or high speed. Suspension deterioration is reduced, due to the use of Tom's original blend of damper oil. Completely rebuildable, please refer to the Overhaul section below. Overhaul - Each ADVOX can be overhauled to keep your vehicle perform at optimum level.  Each damper must be sent back to Tom's Technical center in Japan.  Lead time is about 30~45 days.  Please check cost in our charts below.
